If a leader wants to make a difference, they can learn something from the ants. It's truly remarkable how God made these small creatures, and what leaders can learn from observing them. The following thoughts support this reflection.

Many dotted trails converge on a golden mound – like the diligent ants of Proverbs 6 that act without being told.

  • An attitude of initiative. Ants don't need a leader to tell them, let's go now.
  • A being full of integrity. Ants always work in the right place and don't need correction from outside.
  • A high level of adaptability. Ants work hard and simply build a new anthill if the old one is destroyed.
  • Natural planning. Ants create stores in the summer for the winter.
Proverbs 6:6-8
6 Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:
7 Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,
8 Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.
