Leaders and Vision belong together, like fire and heat. It is not possible to separate the two without destroying their basic function. Through Habakkuk, God reveals some helpful thoughts on the topic of vision. A God-given vision ...
- should be written down (v2)
- should be made available to people (v2)
- should serve as a guide for action (v2)
- is for a specific time in the future (v3)
- motivates toward a goal (v3)
- should not be discarded (v3)
- will not fail to come (v3)
Habakkuk 2:2-3
2 And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
