The Law of Influence – Ezekiel

Even the best leaders cannot force actions.

Influence spreads out from the center in waves. Whoever the wave reaches realigns.

Even the best leaders cannot force their people to follow them. God says here in this passage that even the three leaders he names, Noah, Daniel, and Job, could not save the people who were rebelling against God. All three were outstanding leaders with integrity, character, and discipline. In addition, they had high competence and a deep sense of responsibility. Yet God said they could have saved only themselves.

Streams of dots flow past three golden lights and veer away – like Noah, Daniel and Job, who cannot force anyone.

Ezekiel 14:12-14
Even Noah, Daniel, and Job Could Not Avert the Judgment on Jerusalem
12 The word of the LORD came again to me, saying,
13 Son of man, when the land sinneth against me by trespassing grievously, then will I stretch out mine hand upon it, and will break the staff of the bread thereof, and will send famine upon it, and will cut off man and beast from it:
14 Though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they should deliver but their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord GOD.
